Re-release of an old Strombecker (?) kit. Nicely done in all white plastic. There are substantial fit and flash issues as the old molds were not cleaned up all that well for a $20+ kit. The 2-piece rocket body requires more than average work to make the seams mate. There is a lot of flash on the fuel tank parts requiring about an hour to clean up and get a good fit. A number of the parts are quite small; so not for the younger set. The clear plastic parts have some noticeable flaws. So much for the negatives. This is a fun kit to paint and build. With reasonable skill, it makes a great hanging display ... or, you can use the included table stand.

Excellent kit, especially for the price I paid for it. Great repop of al old classic, this kit is of the same model seen in Disney's Man in Space... And... "Trip Around the Moon." An excellent reproduction set of the ship and the one man space pod.

Glencoe Models has definitely released a winner. This kit has been listed for $200+, but now you can get it at a very low price of under $15. Guess the high dollar sellers are a bit upset - good for us!!!

I had one of these back in the late 50's. Nice it's still being made. The model does have a little flash from the molding but not too bad. Easy peasy to clean up. I even plan to do rudimentary lighting on this one. The base and pylon support has enough space to make it work.

A great re-pop of the old Strombecker Disney Rocket. The parts are crisply molded, since the mold hasn't deteriorated after 60+ years. It's simple, but just like the one I built in the '50s. Pure nostalgia!
