Easy, reliable, and consistent.
I've used this for a while now (several months) and I have found it easy to use, it doesn't clog or jam (at least mine doesn't) and is consistent in use. It does the job that it's supposed to do very well indeed. I use it for picture framing and it copes with a wide variety of wood types and hardness...I can't think of anything wrong with it really.

I wish I had bought this a few years ago. As an artist framing my own pictures, I both cut and make frames from mouldings, and buy and redo second-hand frames. I have previously used staples, which are fine when you have a lot of space between the back of the backing board and the back of the moulding, where it will rest against the wall; but for frames where this is very close, staples tear up the wood and stick out the back in a lumpy way, and it looks awful. This is exceptionally quick and easy to use, and solves this problem-partly because the tabs will go in solidly much closer to the edge of the wood than a staple will, and because there is a much smaller gap between the edge of the tool and where the tab/staple shoots out of, meaning you can work right up against your backing board. ... I am hopeless with devices and slightly afraid of power tools and sharp things but even for me this was simple and straightforward to use and the tabs went in really easily and well. Would highly recommend. The tabs go in better than the ones my framer uses and he has a more expensive tab gun. Just buy it! You won't regret it. EXCELLENT QUALITY AND WORKS WELL - GREAT VALUE!
Works far better than the 'Fletcher' alternatives (which are way more costly) Very happy with this tab gun - it drives the pins in well and so far has been really reliable - Unlike the Fletcher that we paid a lot of money for. The replacement tabs for the Charnwood are also cheaper. Nothing wrong with these at all and highly recommended.
