Item arrived despite never showing shipped. Seller needs to communicate better. Had to initiate communication when item was not showing shipped. Not a bad transaction, because item was received in near perfect condition. Just be aware of the communication issue if your item is purchased and not shipped immediately.

    A great minidisc player only. Not a recorder. Excellent build quality.

    I use this one the most. And I have four hiMd recorders and 7 regular md recorders. I like the case Sony supplied. You have to use Sonicstage or a Md/minidisc combo deck to record music to it. It's not as razor thin as my mz-rh1 the last and greatest minidisc portable. But its much tougher than my thinner models. I carry it everywhere and save the other ones for recording concerts or lectures or burning discs to listen to in this one. With discs burned using HiMd I can listen in cd quality or burn in lower mp3 type quality and have over 12 hours of old time radio on one disc. If my player ever dies, no problem I have the discs and still have my music. I've lost track of the hard-drives or mp3 players that have croaked on me.     Great machine if you are into mds.

    This MD player/recorder was a great machine. I used it to record lots of music. It was easy to transfer music to and from the computer and it was very good to make recordings using the extra microphone. Unfortunately it is not working anylonger. It stopped recognizing the battery and the battery cover eventually broke. Then I was using it with extenal power (USB, external battery and/or electric cable) until the other night that I dropped it and it stopped working! Too bad it is too expensive now and I can't afford another one.
