Our smart roadster started leaking In the heavy rain and we were quoted around £650 for a company to re seal the whole roof. Getting towards Christmas and not being in the position to spend that much, I started looking for covers. I read good reviews about this item so thought we would give it a try. We were told 2 weeks and were amazed when it arrived in 8 days. And...yes! The inside of the car now stays dry! It was a tad fiddly to fit, easier with two people but now it's on, it can stay on until spring. Husband drives it to work with it on, hardly any flapping on the roof. Highly recommended this car cover!

The cover is very useful. There is no more roof leacks in heavy rain. But there are some weaknesses - fabric wasn't stitched well around the rubber and it ripped after 1 month, so I had to stitched it again. Also it's not that easy to fix a cover well between removable bar, it tries to go out everytime, I think it could be better with some additional straps as in the back. So as for me the price could be more friendly.

Searching for the ever present need to waterproof the Smart Roadster, the appeal of this drive-in-place cover is obvious. It covers up all of the seals on the roof, allowing them to remain dry - the material is 100% waterproof. As a bonus the water tends to run off to the rear, thus avoiding dripping down the door seals to some degree. The front of the cover hooks under the edge of the roof bars and is retained by a foam tube along the front edge that you close the sunroof over. This is all very firm and watertight. The rear has two loops that simply go under the rear edge of the boot - the angle to the roof line keeps them in place. Fitting is a bit of a faff as you have to unlock the roof bars and slide the roof open - but given the options available I can't deny that this a clever system. With practice you can get the fitting and removal to under a minute. The second niggle is that eventually the cover begins to flap and drum against the roof - you are OK to about 60 mph but after that it just becomes noisy and worrying - but in its defence it has never come loose.Read full review

I bought the all weather rain cover for my smart roadster as my car leaks like a sieve. Mercedes quoted me $4000 to replace it and I cant afford that. With the all weather, it really works and is very simple to fit, once you work out exactly what the instructions mean. I only use it if there is a chance of rain or if I'm away from home with no undercover protection. I live in Australia so most of the time the weather is fine. Im hoping the elastic straps are UV protected as the rays here are intense. This protector is a very clever design and is well made. Cheers.

This cover is great, I've had it on in a few heavy rain storms and my Smart Roadster Coupe is still dry on the inside. It's good for driving around in town, but at speeds over 40mph it flaps around noisily, however I might not have it tight enough. Before opening the coupe boot the back of the cover needs unhooking, but this is a minor inconvenience compared to using a full cover or having a wet car.
