Some buttons don't work as stated (and expected) but it powers the unit on and off, the menu button works, as does the menu navigation buttons and enter button. That's really all you need for operation, what can't be done on the remote can either be done on the units physical buttons or in the menu. You'll notice the remote feels VERY cheap...but note that OEM Viewsonic remotes feel just as cheap, at least my last Viewsonic remote did.

The only difference from the listing is that the cover plate to the ports did not come with my projector. I didn't see a reference to this in the description.
