This product is all I use as an eye shadow base. Perfect for older skin. I am 67 years old with heavy lids and trying to find a base for around the eyes is tough. Base goes on white and dissolves well. If you still see white residue, you are probably using too much. Eye shadow goes on evenly with no problems. Other brands I have used tend to sit on top of the skin, Mavala brand does not do that.
