Easy to fit
I bought this to replace a warped and flimsy existing loft hatch. This one was so easy to fit with the screws supplied and had a good seal around the ceiling joint. Fitting of the door was simple and the securing plates were fitted. The insulation is a better quality than the previous polystyrene. the door looks easily and appears to make a good seal. The loft hatch looks a much better product than the old hatch.I bought this to replace a warped and flimsy existing loft hatch. All in all good value.
Whilst not the most robust loft door it does the job. It is a two person installation, unless You have some hand clamps that will span the gap and hold it in place whilst youy do the srews. As long as the ceiling is flat, it is easy enough to fit as the screws are self tapping and there is no need to drill. You have to slide the door to open it, there isn't a turning bolt action element, so make sure you can reach it by steps or whatever, otherwise you are better off with the older style product. The weight of the insulation is sufficient to make the door drop.Whilst not the most robust loft door it does the job. Cheap Tat
Very cheaply made. Difficult to open as it slides to open it. Maybe a special pole required not in box. whole thing is flimsy. I made a mistake during the returns procedure. So the hatch ended up in the local tidy tip skip Would not recommend this product.
