Does what it says on the 'tin'
Does the job - my new lamp shade is sitting nicely attached to the ceiling rose pendent that wasn't wide enough. Perfect price as shops were charging £1.99 for 2 when i only needed 1 Basic to use, very sturdy and discrete. All in all very happy! Thank you :o)

How simple can it get?
A really simple answer to the problem of a lampshade with a fitting too large for most UK light sockets. It's simple, nicely made and sturdy and it works a treat, relying on gravity (in my case) to keep the lampshade in place. Fabulous!

I have some beautiful expensive table lamps that are at least 35yrs old so they have a very small UK bayonet fitting .. this allows you to update the look with modern lamp shades and is a very small price to pay for the shade you want

Needed to replace the one that came with my ceiling light shade as it was only plastic and the shade slipped down over it, bringing the lightbulb smashing down with it. This one is so much stronger, being metal with a larger outer diameter size and the perfect fit for a standard size light fitting.
