Customer service spot on, CBS are excellent, can't fault them. As for the Ryobi OBC1820B brush cutter, unusally for Ryobi, its rubbish for the money. I wish I'd spent 1/4 of the amount on a cheap strimmer. Nettles are a struggle, brambles you've got no chance and damp grass has to be cut a bit at a time

    Love it. ❤

Great product, surprisingly powerful enough for long wet grass and thick weeds, even brambles, a 5ah battery will do the a large garden in no time, it's a fair bit lighter than my old petrol brush cutter so much easier on the back, so easy and clean to use, no more blisters trying to start a petrol strimmer and no more petrol leaking all down my legs, brilliant bit of kit, I highly recommend, haven't used the brush cutter blade yet but others have said it's even better than the cord. 👍🙂

  • Good tool needs a high capacity battery to wrk well.

I inherited a 50 yard square garden, very overgrown and weedy, I pondered buying a brush cutte,r but went ahead. I have a few Ryobi tools so I'm tied to the Ryobi battery system however I'm glad I did and it's worked our really very well. The only bit of advice I'd offer would be: make sure you have a high capacity battery 4/5 amp/hr. anything less will run down very quickly especially if you're tackling serious stuff. I tried a 2amp/hr from a drill and it expired pretty quickly.

  • Great for clearing established bracken

Easy to assemble and use. The harness needs adjusting for your individual height to ensure the blade is fairly horizontal and near the ground, but above it. Get the harness to take the weight not your arms, let your arms do the guiding I had to cut quite a lot of thick bracken in mixed woodland to make walkable paths and used the brushcutter blade. Absolutely brilliant. It went through it like 9 o'clock. You have wait a second or two for the motor to reach full speed before using the machine, but once its reached maximum rotation its very effective. Working time is limited by the Ah of the battery so buy as big as you can afford. Piece of advice. Make sure you wear some long boots and a visor as the blade can throw up bits of debris.

  • Ryobi Brilliant! (again)

Have used this for 2 years now in a farm setting, brush cutting a long track etc, demanding jobs, bigger scale than the average user. Sturdy build but light to carry and use (important consideration), using a 4 or 5 amp battery provides 20-30 minutes use, no problems. I have other Ryobi One + products , giving up on corded or petrol etc and most if not all Ryobi products I would rate as very good if not excellent. They seem better built than many lower end consumer brands, look like they will last, but not so prohibitively expensive as top end trade names either, sitting in the middle. Would definitely buy again.

  • Ryobi one+ brush cutter and strimmer.

I bought this to allow me to remove brambles and stinging nettles from the wasteland that is my back garden. This is one of many tools I own using the Ryobi one+ system. With the 4.0 ah battery attached it is nicely balanced and I am not using the harness supplied. My only regret, not a criticism, is that the battery does not last long enough although this allows me some time to sit down while changing the now depleted battery. Highly recommended if your garden resembles mine.
