When I ordered 10 metres of this flexible rod, I expected to receive 10 unbroken metres tidily wound on a spool. Instead I received a large box full of pieces of flexible rod, all of different lengths. Some attempt had been made at spooling the longer pieces, but shorter pieces were just put in the box uncoiled. So it was rather like opening a box and finding it full of grey writing snakes. They will have to stay in the large box, which will take up considerable space in my garage.

    Perfect for window frames

    Discovered gaps between window frame and adjacent brickwork, causing considerable draught. Gap was between 3mm and 8mm in width for the entire height of window frame. Fitted this material into the gap (it pushed in nicely with a screwdriver), good and robust snug fit and then overfilled with frame sealant before refitting thin plastic upvc trim. Worked perfectly!

    The hassle free way of filling large cracks!

    This joint backer is brilliant! A friend who works in the building trade told me about it. It is really easy to use, and stays put when stuffed into the crevice to be filled. I have had years of using newspaper, expanding foam spray (awful), wire, and insulating glass fibre, this so much simpler, clean, and quicker.
