Decent boards, handles IDE and SATA, but not one of ASUS's best.
I've bought several of these because they have decent technology for a relatively inexpensive price to build a package. We've run from 6-10 of these in our office. Asus has always been a good buy. These, however, are a bit 'tricky.' Sometimes the hard disk controllers just stop working. I've had that happen with 3 of ours and the dealer's always replaced them (THANKS, LEO!!)No clue why this happens--the others are just bulletproof but these 3 just one day don't boot up any more and don't see the HDD. Another issue is that they're a bit "power sensitive." After about 2 years another three of them started getting sluggish and then just quit working. That time, our tech found some darker spots-like minor burns-around the CPU slot. Capacitor, maybe? Anyway, we've replaced the board ... And the capacitor issues? We do have some power fluctuations in this part of town, and even with the surge protectors, the failures seemed to be shortly after we've had some storms. But for the most part, they've been good boards, they install well and have capacity to run both SATA and IDE--which isn't that easy to find any more. We have quite a few brand new IDE disks, so that's important. I would recommend these boards to a friend, but only to one who knew how to do the basis of replacing computer components.

Sadly this device has fail in around 90 days... not enough warranty time.
Good day to who concern. I sadly have to review this product in a bad way because this item has failed to me and my configuration just only work like month and a half but the warranty cover time is not enough when this kind of issue happens. I had the needed to replace my old mobo for my FX-55, the 2GB of Corsair XMS and my old Radeon X1950 pro with the Power supply from Ultra 500W and back up with one Belkin 600VA, so I think everything is correctly set up. If this kind of electronic device could have some extended warranty time (like 6 months) this will be great and the people buy this kind of items just for necessity. Thanks.Good day to who concern.
