Synopsis
In book two of the Warrior series, Kadesoman, a Malai warrior and the son of Kamarsoman and his Earth mate Cassie, is given command of the new Malai exploration ship Seeker. He's told by the League of Planets that Seekers maiden voyage isn't a test, or one of exploration, but a rescue mission. Two League ships have disappeared beyond an unexplored portal, and its Seekers job to find them. Kade's main crew is comprised of well trained friends he has grown up with. His captain, Zan, is his best friend, and Kades twin sister Jade, is one of Seekers doctors. The varied crew takes off to solve a mystery that has consequences none of them is prepared for, and along the way they find danger, adventure and love. Kade is confronted by Oleda, a descendant of an old enemy that his father killed many years ago, and she's out to destroy him. Vengeance driven Oleda creates half-man half-beasts from the survivors of a dying planet. She viciously experimented on them trying to create her new powerful beast army. She discarded them as failures when she discovered they had too much humanity for her purposes. Turning them out among her other failures, she thought they would be easily killed off. What she didn't know was, led by the big Makcara War, they thrived. The powerful, handsome beings learned to control the beast in them and used it to survive, yet kept their humanity. Jade has a confrontation in the woods with one of them, Chain. He's big, hard muscled, handsome, and extremely sexy. Chain's pale gray eyes bore into Jade as he tackled her when she drew the attention of one of the planets more vicious creatures. The confrontation starts Chain and Jade on a rollercoaster of emotions that will either tear them apart or bring them crashing together. The New Makcara are given a second chance at life, by Kade's people with several twists, and surprises along the way. The mission goes through many portals and visits to other planets including Earth in their race to stop Oleda. Seekers
