Camp Pro WIFI works as advertised

This unit is complete and works as advertised. The one issue,(not the fault of the unit) is it cannot speed up a slow connection. With the Camp Pro I was able to find WIFI when nothing was showing. the system connected to it without a problem... the problem was that WIFI was slow... Nothing you can do about it. But as far as the Camp Pro is concerned, it's a great product, that works as advertised, very satisfied with the purchase

    Find a different system

I bought my kit through a foreign seller. The kit arrived with a European plug on the power supply so I had to buy an adapter which the seller reimbursed me for. The kit contains virtually no set-up instructions. With the help of instructions from another vendor, I get it set up fairly easily. It worked for about 1 1/2 weeks then quit. After 6-8 hours of resetting, reconfiguring, etc. over several days, I gave up. The resetting is a pain. The USB LED would no longer light. I don't know at this point if the problem is with the R36 box, the antenna, the wire, or the booster. Since several friends have had their kits stay working, I ordered a duplicate kit from a domestic vendor who has good service. Communication with the original vendor has been unsatisfactory. I'll be packing up ...

  • WiFi Camp Pro

Pieces parts were well packaged and appear to be high quality. I haven't been able to verify the reach as yet. I need a known place like Starbucks to define the distance between the repeater and the source. The "directions" were horrible--non-existent, but there are a lot of sites on the web with instructions for the Alfa 36. No problem for a teck-weenie, but would be a nightmare for a mortal. Had the vendor enclosed ANY directions, my rating would have been excellent.

  • I was a little hesitant but actually does what it says

I do a lot of camping and many places have WiFi hotspots. This actually works for me. I have it paired to one of the cheap ebay WiFi dongles (look for the 600mbps AC with SMA connector). I also use a USB extension cord so I can have better flexibility mounting this.

  • Fantastic purchasw

Easy install and set up. I would definitely recommend to any and all mobile users and travelers with campers. So far no complaints. I bought it here because it was cheaper than the developers were selling it. I believe they are about $40 more because they provide tech support which is actually available online if you do a little diligent searching. People out there want to help you - trust it and save some money.
