Extensive interview footage with members of prog rock giants Yes helps to tell their incredible story on this revealing documentary. Original members Jon Anderson and Chris Squire brought the group to life in the heady psychedelic days of late 1960s England, and they managed to survive numerous line-up changes, lawsuits, the onslaught of punk (which rendered prog rock deeply unfashionable), and a surprising rebirth as an MTV staple in the early '80s. Also included here is some incredible archive footage of the band's ostentatious stage shows and a collection of music videos.

    Having read several reviews prior to purchase, I knew what I WOULD be getting (excellent historical information in the form of interviews with most Yes members past and present, plus engineers and producers) and NOT be getting (performance videos). Yes members have changed their minds snd perspectives over the years, as we all do. This documentary captures their thoughts at that particular time. Additionally, hearing the perspectives from Eddie Offord and other former close associates is fascinating and most welcome. Worth multiple viewings. The first disc is excellent in terms of content. It is long, and packed! Sure, the lighting leaves a lot to be desired, but since I purchased this primarily for the interviews it didn’t bother me much, The reason I give this DVD 4 stars rather than ...
