    DCF-660W WiFi adapter works with older PDA devices

    This WiFi adapter fits devices with a Type I or Type II CF card slot (or PCMCIA to CF card adapter). It was designed for use with some of the older PDA devices. I have tested it with the HP Jornada 720 (Windows CE 3.0). The drivers supplied (on a CD which came with the adapter) did not work on my device (even though the package said it was compatible). However, compatible drivers are available online (try searching for Prism drivers on the hpcfactor forums (or) for Prism drivers and hpcmonex izemize). Be aware that this device, (and most PDAs for which it was designed) have limited internet connectivity. It is capable of Open connections or WEP secured connections, but Not WPA security. However, if security is not a great concern, it can provide reliable internet access to many hotspots, ...
