    Superb entertainment

    I have been a fan of this film since I first saw it on television almost 20 years ago. I bought the video and watched it time and time again so I was delighted to be able to buy it on DVD. To use an overused expression: It is 'feelgood' with very good actors. For me, the biggest star is the music because you can't beat the Big Band sound! To sum up: very, very enjoyable and something that you will return to again and again.

    a great reflective story featuring some of the top british female actresses. the film has humour and sadnesss with judie dench and ian holme in the two leading roles exellent as two former band members seeking to re-unite their former colleagues.

    My favourite film for years

    I love Judi Dench and she is amazing (as ever) in this little known but very special film. It is funny, has a great story, brilliant music and star studded cast! It's one of those films that is uplifting and everyone I have played it to loves it.
