Excellent Router for a small home network. I recommend it !!
This is a basic but very functional Router. It has the Ethernet input port, and four Ethernet Output ports plus the antenna. The included Antenna can been removed and the small size coax cable can be used to remotely locate an antenna up to about 5 feet from the actual unit. Beyond this distance, losses in the coax cable negate the advantage of the remote antenna. This is the the biggest advantage of this router to me. It provides WEB, WBA and WBA2 encryption, so it not completely up to date but quite adequate for home use. You can easily access all functions of the router, and set virtually any parameter. It moves files between computers on the Network at speeds in excess of 20 mbs (at least between my computers, likely my computers are the limiting factors). Considering most DSL ... Considering most DSL is 1.3 mbs, this is very fast. I have had two of these, the first of which refused to boot after a power interruption. But the first one gave me very good service for about 3 years; and it was used. The Wireless portion can be deactivated while retaining its settings. This quite useful if you use wireless only occasionally. This Router comes in five different sub-models: A.1, Bx.x, C1.xR, D1.0r/D1.1r, D1.2r/D1.3r . The further down the list you get, the more up-to-date the unit. Firmware updates are available for some sub-models from Trendnet's web site. The router has 7 front panel LED lights: 4 LAN, 1 WLAN, 1 WAN, 1 System. The System LED will blink about 1 per second when the unit is operating correctly. The other LEDs flash when their functions are in use. The Blue Plastic container is cool to the touch, so is its "Wall Wart" power supply. The unit can sit flat or be mounted vertically. Physically, the unit is compact. It has (or should have) 4 silicone feet. I used the setup software once, and it worked just fine (also downloadable from the Trendnet Web site), but have configured the unit manually several times since. Both methods work well.

I love this low cost router I purchased on eBay. I got mine for $12.00 so I had to purchase it. The performance is good if you put it in the middle of your home or business. You'll get good coverage by placing it in the middle of you facility. the security features are good and there is a button that allows quick configurations for devices that support that feature. In any case you can't go wrong with a $12.00 router. Any price under $22.00 is a good price point for buying this router.I love this low cost router I purchased on eBay. Works good but dosent seem to support Ubuntu.
It broadcasts very well and the speed is sufficient. My only complaint at all is that it only has support for Microlimp (Windose) and Mac. I use Ubuntu/Debian on my computers so I can't use their software to control usage by neighbors. I only use it for my tablet pc so when I'm not using it, I just take off the antenna. : )

If you're having problems with your router, try this one. Very dependable.
I have a small computer repair business and when customers have problems with their router I usually install this one because it's simple and it works. So far none have failed over the past couple of years that I have been using them.
