Very easy to convert VHS to DVD after reading the instruction manual. Lots more features to explore.

Good old fashion tech still great!
Good product for those of us who still have VHS tapes they want to use. The sound quality on my last model went very bad so bought this one as a replacement as it was advertised 'never been used' and so far sound and picture quality very good. My only 'beef' is that it does not seem respond to play or record if when turning it on you don't use it straight away. The 'turnoff, turn on again' trick usually works. Good product for those of us who still have VHS tapes they want to use. The sound quality on my last model went very bad so bought this one as a replacement as it was advertised 'never been used' and so far sound and picture quality very good. Nice piece of kit.
Third time lucky!, the two I had of this model before had varying problems, one wouldn't even start so I got a full refund for that, the second one had problems with the sound on the video side and I got a partial refund for that, it is now listed as 'minor faults'. This one HAD TO work because it was listed as new and I paid 500 quid for it. I used several machines to record a vhs tape from a live event in 1996. I tried jvc, akai, Toshiba & then this. The Panasonic was the best all rounder. Picture quality & by far in the sound department. The older akai deck handled fuzzy / interference best but older machines are sometimes better suited to older tapes. The recording process was pretty straightforward & I like the remote.
