Superb binoculars
I have owned many pairs of binoculars over the years. Zeiss Dialyt 10x42's, Leitz Trinovid 7x35's and 8x40's. Leica 7x42's and 8x42's and Swarovski 8x42 and EL 8.5x32. All of them top of the range high quality optics. I needed a new very lightweight pair and these caught my eye. I was aware that binocular design and construction had moved on apace since my only other pair of Zeiss, the aforementioned Dialyts from the early 1980's. And that there were lots of new makes on the market that weren't around way back then. I actually purchased these without even trying them. A bit of a gamble but I felt safe in the knowledge that I was getting a reputable make. Well after a couple of months use I can say that they are superb in every way. The focus is extremely smooth and accurate. The image bright and with a wide field of view. Incredible close focus as well. However the most amazing feature is the price. They are quite exceptional value for money. Incredible that most 'serious' birders have a pair of £1500 Swarovski's around their necks. Almost because fashion and desirability dictate their choice. These cost me just £364.00!! Of course time alone will tell just how well they cope with the wear and tear of regular use. Also their waterproof qualities have yet to be put to the test. If you are looking for a top quality cheap binocular, look no further....
