    Except for a uniform corrosion on all metal parts EXCEPT the blade, this Springfield model 1902 Saber for All Army Officers is in surprisingly good condition. The seller accurately showed the corrosion on the pictures posted on eBay. The down side, shipping was exorbitant IMO - especially for something shipped such a short distance. This may in fact be a problem more related to the USPS than the seller BUT, extremely high shipping costs will certainly dampen my enthusiasm for eBay purchases
