Very quick delivery! This is a serious soldering iron! It smoked for quite a while when first turned on and that was a little worrying, but it did clear. The balance is awkward due to the weight of the solid copper bit, and the on/off switch is too easy to accidentally tun off in use without noticing. Otherwise happy as it did the job required.

    Man enough for that larger job

    Needed a higher power soldering iron to do some sheet metal joints with, standard iron was never getting the parts hot enough for the solder to run. This did the job very well, got up to temperature reasonably quickly and did the job it was wanted for.
