    Fantastic quality item

    I bought this ratchet to replace the original one in a socket bit set which no longer functions as it should. This one is far superior to the old one as it operates smoothly and efficiently when tightening or undoing nuts, bolts, screws etc. It is obviously well engineered and it should last for a long time. I can definitely recommend this product.

    Excessive back-drag

    I have 4 quarter inch ratchet, this is the one with the highest back-drag. In fact, put this ratchet on the table with the quarter inch drive facing up, I can spin this ratchet by turning the round wheel where it is supposed to be set on ratcheting. Tried dip this ratchet in 5w30 engine oil, also tried grease all the internal part with lithium grease, still no improvement. At the end of the day, it is a good value 100 teeth and decently strong ratchet. However, it is missing one of the key component to make it a good functional ratchet.

    For me a nice tool for a good price, delivered to my door in good time.

    I admit it I love tools. as a long time DIYer I own a lot. Some get used more than others. As I have to justify the cost by the use, Some times I buy cheeper than I would have liked. This 1/4 ratchet by Blue spot has not disappointed me, For the price very good value. Used it to help with removal of my old tv arial and in the fitting of the new one. small bolts worked well. I keep looking at De Walt SDS 18volt but can I justify the cost ? But this small ratchet at the price yes.
