Purchased this after a severe ankle sprain. This would not stop an ankle from rolling/twisting again but it does give some confidence and comfort afterwards. Due to the size, you need to wear it with a flexible shoe such as a trainer. I couldn't wear this in the early days of recovery as my foot was too sensitive - I've found it better to use now that the bruising has gone and I'm walking again. Velcro is strong and secure.
