Useful bit of kit.
Very useful does the job easy to follow instructions. I was pleased with it apart from one problem why I only gave it four stars is because the powder containers I found extremely difficult to undo and almost spilt it trying to open them apart from that works very well.

No marks for ease of use
The tube I got were different to those in the picture, so not sure if this applies to all of this product. The instructions tell you to add 3cc of the soil sample then top up to the next mark with 0.5 cc of test solution, the problem is that there is no 3.5cc mark, the next mark is 4cc, so you have to eyeball it, which is not really a satisfactory way of doing things.

Good value alternative to professional lab tests if many samples are required .
Kit seems to work well, and can be stored in the box it arrived in. Sufficient reagents for many tests, I can't comment on its absolute accuracy but it gave the expected results for pH and showed variations across the garden for nutrients consistent with past treatment.

Good for the price
Bought this kit for a handful of field tests. Easy to use and easy to follow instructions. Seems to work, all tests have a colour change which look very plausible for my ground. Professional gardener said the results look like what he would expect to see. Only minor issues, there are nowhere near enough materials for 40 tests, looks more like 10 to 20 max. Also, the powders for pH and nitrate don't dissolve very well. I had to shake vigorously at least a dozen times for over a minute each and still some of the powder is settling. Don't know if this affects the test. Bought this kit for a handful of field tests. Easy to use and easy to follow instructions. Only partially works
I purchased this over a year ago and used it new. I had the same problems then that I'm having now. I just pulled it out to test soil again. I followed the instructions on 3 soil samples from different plots. The pH test seems to be working, because I tried it with vinegar and the colour was appropriate to the chart. It would seem the Potassium is working, although one sample was completely clear. But certainly the Phosphorus and Nitrogen didn't and have never worked. The colour of the liquid is pure white, so clearly the reagent doesn't work. I have seen numerous complaints about these kits, so it doesn't surprise me that I'm having the same problems. I think they're just too inaccurate, just like those cheap pH meters. I think you have to have it tested in a lab or use expensive ... I purchased this over a year ago and used it new.
