Quick delivery and as described, however the product itself is quite naff, the wing nuts to tighten everything up require pliers on both sides otherwise they just spin and don’t tighten up properly and overall it’s just to small and fiddly so I wouldn’t recommend buying it as it’s a very poor product but that’s not the sellers fault

    Does what it's meant for

    It didn't cost a lot and is great value. It's only used for holding small PCBs or bits of wire so I don't expect it to be the weight of a small engine block. It's heavy enough for what it's purpose... To hold things steady whilst soldering. Yeah ok I had to put a bit of heat shrink on the clips but that's no big deal. Heavy enough to stay put, clips and brackets solid enough for what it's needed for. Not much else to say really. Thumbs up from me.

    Very useful and well made

    If you're soldering wires or circuit boards you need one of these really to hold things in place. At least it makes life much easier. This one is good value and well made, nice and heavy so it stays put on the table.

    My extra hand

    I find the soldering stand very helpful and I wish I bought it decades ago. Having said this I wish the lens could adjust vertically without affecting its horizontal position, hence only four stars.

    Locking screws are too small

    The screws to hold the magnifying lens and the clips are too small to be able to be tightened enough to hold them in place. The whole thing is just too small. Build quality is not bad, it’s just the physical size of the parts.
