I ran across DRIFTWOOD while flipping through the channels on cable about 7 years ago but did not catch the title. On a scale of 1 to 10 I give it an 11. I loved it. I went all these years not be able to remember the title then figured out that James Spader was the name of the actor. I got the internet about a year ago and just figured out his name a few days ago and thought I could most likely find it online. Sure enough. I liked the movie because it had drama, mystery, a bit scary and I felt empathy for James Spader and the lonely woman that fell in love with him. If she had not been emotionally unstable I believe James really would have came back for her. However, in the end all he could think about was how to get away. Such a beautiful talented young woman with so much to give but didn't know how. I guess I just loved everything except I would have like to have seen them get to be together in the end but then the movie wouldn't have been so suspenseful. I'm so happy that I finally found it on dvd, I will have the money to buy it in a few more days if the price doesn't go up.
