About this product

Product Information

Featuring a brand new physics engine and a roster of more than 40 of history's greatest boxers, EA's critically lauded boxing series ends its three-year hiatus with one more run at the title in Fight Night: Round 4. The new physics engine was designed to simulate the full range of potential punches, defense, and ring movement, and distinctive styles have been created to reflect boxers' real-life height, reach, footwork, and skills as a brawler, counter-puncher, or inside fighter. The roster of fighters combines a mix of all-time greats, including Muhammad Ali, Roy Jones Jr., Thomas Hearns, and Mike Tyson, with some of 2009's biggest fighters, such as Ricky Hatton, Shane Mosely, and Manny Pacquiao. The new "Legacy" mode let gamers create a boxer, customize his fighting style, gear, and ring music, then punish fellow pugilists on the way to becoming an all-time legend. The mode includes the original eight weight classes, several potential titles in each class, the ability to unify belts and fight through several weights, end of the year awards, popularity, and pound-for-pound rankings. Gamers who tire of advancing their boxer's career can also choose to head online and square off against friends from all over the world.

Item was in beautiful condition, described accurately, shipped quickly, and packed well enough to keep it safe for the journey. Little more needs to be said about the item at that point - so it's safe to say that I can highly recommend this seller.

  • Most critical review

Game lacks and has heavy drag

The game play is far insopirior to older boxing games such as the earlier versions of Fightnight!

  • A Knockout!

Just a look who is on the cover is the primary reason any gamer/boxer fan should buy this game. The gameplay is great and along with how the boxers move. If you play with Tyson you can bob and weave as you make your way inside to land body shots on your opponennt. EA Sports did a great job of getting each and every fighters boxing style down. Thomas Hearns and James Toney have the best feel as far as playing with them. My personal favorites to use are Winky Wright, Pernell Whitaker and Vivan Harris. Old school George Foreman is a beast too. The stamina and chin attributes are great when it comes to certain fighters. I like the game due to the challenges you get from fighting an Ali, Lennon Lewis Roy Jones and so on. You have to use a strategy in regrads to whoever you are fighting unless ...

  • Pretty fun

At first, I wasn't pleased with the game at all. They had only made this game with the Total Control Punch ie., the joystick. I was used to using the buttons from previously playing FNR3, so this made it much more difficult for me. I did the tutorials severals times, just couldn't get it, but because of people who had the same love for the button configuration, EA released a DLC which contained two new configs with the buttons. Once I had that, this game became great. The graphics are very great, and the legacy mode they have where you can create your own boxer or make a new one was very unique from the third.

  • Possibly the best boxing game ever.

Before this game the Fight Night series was always a fun way to spend with friends. Sure it was a bit goofy like most EA Sports games because things happen in such an unrealistic fashion, but since it's a video game it was no bother. The total punch control was what made the Fight Night series better than the previous Knockout Kings series, and in this game it's very on point. What I love is that they keep the rotation for most punches, but they let you tap the joystick in one direction for body hooks and body uppercuts just to give you another quick strike besides your jab and straight. Unlike the new game Champion this game doesn't solely rely on moving the joystick in one direction for all punches. This keeps the total punch control that keeps the game from being a button masher, and ...
