Took some figuring out, you have to move the pointy bolt in the top plate so it pins the can in place, once I'd moved that bolt it is excellent. We only have a small recycling bin and it gets emptied once a month, thus has saved me taking stuff to the dump it site :)

    Does the job

    I'm really pleased with this can crusher, it is made of a heavy metal and comes with the top and bottom clipped together. To use, un-clip the clasp so the top springs up, there is a screw on the top that I use to hold the can in place ready for crushing. I start the process by pushing the top down with my hand until the screw 'bites' into the can, then finish the job by standing on the top of the crusher. This isn't as easy to use as the wall mounted crushers, but once you get the hang of it, it's easy enough.
