A disappointing read
I was very disappointed in this book. The back suggests it will provide insight into Irma geese however, it provides little information. In places it describes charatstics whilst then saying it lacks evidence to back it up. It reads like it has been written in a acedemic style but lacks the evidence to support its assumptions. It provides little towards her behaviour, disclosing little towards her motives, background and actual crimes committed. I learnt more about her from the books it mentions in which passages were taken to be analysed. This book attempts to draw inferences based on her behaviour with little evidence to support it; which is then supplemented by the authors own declaration. I was very disappointed in this book. A must historical read
I’ve read a lot of books about the holocaust, and knew very little of Irma Grese. This book gives you an insight into just how awful the minds of those involved in the atrocities were.
