The only real option for Porsche
I keep a lot of cars in restoration. Currently ten. I love factory service manuals and typically collect all the factory reference information I can, except on German cars. I'm not usually one to generalize but the manuals for VAG/Porsche cars are exceedingly large, complicated, hard to navigate and stupidly expensive (hundreds $$). So in the case of VW and Porsche projects I go with Bentley. The Haynes and Chilton (especially Chilton) manuals read like they were written for any similar car and typically only leave me chuckling at the description once read. Anyway, as an engineer and restoration junkie I like to know exactly how others have tackled a problem specifically and Bentley has that. This is nice for cars such as VAG/Porsche where everything seems to be done in a clever ... I keep a lot of cars in restoration. Currently ten. I have few gripes for this book so far and they are (1) that for most cars Bentley costs as much as the factory manual and (2) that this manual in particular doesn't seem to be available in hard binding. I like it when Bentley books are hard bound. They lay out on the workbench better and I touch them less.

I like the schematics,orangization,layout and the that it is easy to understand. I really like the "how to" section. There is nothing that I dislike. I purchased the book to better understand my vehicle.
