good machine
upgraded from the floor steamer which I had for years I love this machine it is easy to use lightweight very powerful love the different settings. I first thought the tank very small but for some unknown reason it last for ages. Controls on the handle are great like all machine there are thing you would change but on the whole I think this is a great machine and I am so glad I purchased it.

Main unit seems ok but steam hose clips very fragile.
The extension tube has 2 plastic clips that hold the tube onto the steam generator unit. These are very fragile and break off Cant use the cleaner once this has happened.

As Good As The Concept Gets
This steamer is easily assembled, is lightweight, easy to use and gives a good amount of steam. My only reservation is that I am not convinced that gliding a steamer over a floor or carpet gets it really as clean as I would like. But that's a criticism of the concept rather than this model which, for the money, must be about as good as you get and good value, too.

Excellent steam mop replaced the same steam mop as had issue with old one which had it 4yrs and used daily to steam clean huge ground floor (70sq M).
We replaced the same version which have 4yrs and used daily to clean. While waiting for the replacement cleaned the blockage with Diluted citric acid and functioning as new. Will store the new one away until required.

Disappointed
Really disappointed with this Vax Steam Fresh Power Plus Steam Cleaner. It produces steam sporadically, and when it stop producing steam, I have to remove the water tank, then the filter & on the advice of Vax Customer Care Team (a term I'd use lightly!!!) I then have to "blow through the filter like I'm blowing up a balloon to remove water from the filter". Then have to refit & start the process again, usually within five minutes when the steam cleaner (or perhaps it should be called a none steam cleaner) gives up again and stops producing steam! All of the above means that a 20 minute job of steam cleaning the hard floors in my house takes double that time!
