    Brilliant, but not long enough.

    Brilliant series, the only thing that I would say if anything, is that I wish it was longer. There's not that many episodes. 6 episodes in series 1, and only 4 per series in 2 and 3. The 4th series (not included in this box set) is only 2 episodes! Barring that, it's absolutely excellent, well worth watching.

    Intriguing plots

    Started watching Luther rather late in the day as 3 series had already been and gone and had only watched the odd episode. We watched one in particular and was hooked! However, having now watched it from the start, the threads running through each episode gives a better understanding of his character, especially with Alice! Absolutely love the music and it gives an dark quality to the storylines, every one an individual. We have also bought the music CD covering the 3 series. I, particularly, still get annoyed and frustrated with his poor speech and his lack of ending words with a "t" that need a "t" and his prowling stance but I suppose that is all part of his seemingly uneducated, brutal background that makes him understand his opposition and the criminals he has to bring to ...

    Great series, however this box set will not play on American dvd players. Only European. Wish I would have realized this before purchase.
