Well made replacement for the standard W brace
I used this to replace my incredibly rusty standard W brace. It fits well and is very heavily constructed, I have no doubt that it will go the distance and probably outlast the rest of the car. I have plugged the upper ventilation holes as they'll happily allow water to pool within the brace and I really don't want that. The holes lined up well and my only issue with it is that my Miltek exhaust system is a tad too close and rattles off it so I've had some A4 stainless spacers made to space the centre down a little. This will hopefully resolve the issue. I'm not concerned about this reducing ground clearance as there are plenty of lower points on the car.I used this to replace my incredibly rusty standard W brace. Good design, fair price.
Overall this is a better option vs the oem brace, it's lighter and a little lower profile. More importantly it doesn't have a complicated design that allows water to sit and pool, eventually causing the same problem of extreme rust. The only minus is that it doesn't come with new bolts, I had to order those separately.
