Devastated! Shocked when disc wasn't in tray after ejecting. Had to disassemble our blu ray/dvd player that was not old & the disc was stuck to a part inide the unit. Worked out that the disc had sticky substance on it. Obviously an ex-rental & the ex-rental circular sticker had been taken off leaving behind adhesive residue. Seller listed No next to Former Rental. After all this we tested another movie & disc got stuck inside unit. Had to buy new player as seller's dvd damaged ours! 😡

I have done a lot of research regarding your claim. A player reads a disc from the inside out. Hence if there were any sort of glue residue and you had placed the disc the wrong way up, which I think has happened, yes it could ruin the laser permanently. This I cannot be accountable for. If it was a rental, an honest error on my part which is why I’ve given you a full refund. Wish you had contacted me directly first though to resolve the issue quicker.

Purchased new DVD - received extensively used and somewhat mistreated DVD. Seller alleged the wrong item was shipped in error, which sounds plausible. They owned their mistake, apologised emphatically and refunded in full. The willingness to set things right indicates good ethics, so I'd be happy to give them the benefit of any doubt.
