    Hornby wagon and coach wheels

    If you have old Triang/Hornby rolling stock you may have trouble with de-railing if you have current (code100) track. The trouble comes from the Flanges on the old wheels being over large With most of the stock it's an easy fix but really old ones not so easy. Be carful to check if the wheels you have are the type with the pointed baring. Ift so the old wheels come out very easily and the new ones slot straight in and you will have perfect running for your rolling stock.

    Metal wheels

    I used these to replace the plastic wheels on Hornby trucks, this then allowed me to fit pickups to power light fittings directly from the track. The wheels are excellent quality and run smoothly, far better than the plastic ones.

    It is all I want to replace the Hornby 'old style' wheels.

    The 'old style' Hornby wheels need replacing as they are very disappointing and the the Hornby metal wheels are satisfactory, if a little expensive.

    Hornby 3 Hole Wheels

    These are an essential spare. They are good quality and I use them to replace all wagons with plastic wheels because it causes them to run better. They are the 00 wheels of choice for kit built and replacement wheels for wagons.
