Good, solid performance.....
People often don't consider the quality of their power supply when building a new pc and often they skimp on the amount spent - foolishly assuming that a 1000 watt cheap PSU will be as good as a 1000 watt 5 times the price. After calculating estimated power using online calculators and allowing a bit for overhead and degradation 750 watts was enough for me - I then hunted through the PSU Tier List at Toms Hardware to find a suitable model to replace my Corsair 550 watt PSU. I am so glad I chose this one, a hybrid modular design allows you to fit only the cables that you need, freeing up space for air-flow. Performance wise my overclocked Xeon X5670 is certainly more stable now, and I have been able to achieve a higher overclock too. It certainly runs a lot quieter than my previous PSU, ...
