High quality Whitworth tap & die set 23pc.
For the money paid for the set I would say the set quality was Just ok. To say that it was "high quality" would be stretching the truth a little! Some of the taps were not sharpened properly, leaving a very square profile to the thread and were very difficult in the cut. I haven't used the dies yet, but looking at them, I suspect that some of these will have the same problem. That said, the problem is mainly with some of the smaller sizes and for the price, about £15 and free postage, one shouldn't really complain too much.For the money paid for the set I would say the set quality was Just ok. Very good value and very handy as a standby for DIY but disappointed that the tap holder central material which actually holds the tap seems soft and gave way rounding off on the square edges when in use. The handles of the tap holder Additionally the Fortunately I have another tap holder and was very happy to be able to continue with cutting a new thread. Apart from that very pleased.
