Excellent experience! Item was shipped immediately and arrived quickly. The item was packaged well with plenty of cushioning. Grafx1 noted that the product was barely used, in near mint condition, and provided detailed closeup pictures in the description, but when I received it, it blew me away to see that it is in absolute pristine condition! Highly recommend grafx1!!!

  • Komine Vivitar Series 1 28-90mm

There's 2 kinds of people in the world, those who love this lens, and those who hate it. The lens I'm reviewing is the Komine made Vivitar Series 1, 28-90mm, f/2.8-3.5 zoom with macro. The Komine make is indicated by the serial number starting with 28. The later Cosina made version has a serial number starting with 9 and is inferior. Those who love the lens cite the sharpness and speed. The haters focus on the vignetting at wide angle, which is severe on a film camera. The good news is that the reduced sensor size on most digital SLRs mitigates the wide angle vignetting. On a digital SLR, the lens excels at portraits. At wide aperture around the 50mm range, colors pop and the sharpness is merciless. Be warned that the lens is a hefty beast. The 67mm filter makes for a bright viewfinder, ...

  • Vintage lenses give new DSLR's the quality and variety for Video and Stills

lens quality for DSLR's has continued drop as their prices and use of plastic and Chinese manufacturing has risen. I have adapters for my Vintage FD lenses for Sony and Canon DSLRS. The legendary Vivitar Series 1 has great resolution and far superior manufacturing, as does this lens. I also have adapters for Samsung NX 300. The result is far better resolution at a pittance of a price for both digital Video and stills. Manual focusing and zoom becomes second nature after awhile.

  • Weighty but quite good.

Not the sharpest lens but good for video, haven't had an opportunity to use it on a job but it's testing quite well. Quite sharp and good colours/contrast.
