Every "rubber" mallet I've tried for pegging down my caravan awning has chipped, split and generally broken down with every blow. This dead blow mallet isn't even marked after hammering in dozens of heavy duty pegs including huge storm anchors and the sound is deadened also. Perfect for the job and highly recommended.

Good Knockerometer
Bought this hammer for a paving job yet to come but i used it for assempling a snap together plastic storage box recently and unlike a metal hammer it caused no damage but was heavy enough to make everything click in place . So i do recommend it . The only thing that was surprising is that when i bought the hammer i thought it was rubber coated metal but as soon as it got used i felt sand mobving inside it which felt weird. Would have been a dead blow without it
I purchased the dead blow hammer to install alloy wheel protectors being fitted to my car. The protectors go between the wheel rim and the tyre. An ordinary rubber hammer would have had too much bounce and installation would not have been achieved easily. This dead blow hammer was of good quality and was comfortable to hold and use. The hammer certainly did what I required of it and the job was completed very easily.
