Product Information

Electronic Arts' celebrated hockey series makes its first appearance on Nintendo 64 with 3D polygonal players and arenas. Play an exhibition game, embark on a full season, jump to the playoffs, enter a tournament, or test your agility in a shootout. You can also work on perfecting your skills with Marc Crawford's coaching strategies. Twenty-seven NHL teams, including the Nashville Predators, are in the game, along with arenas sporting such details as banners, retired jerseys, and luxury boxes. Eighteen international teams, with their distinct rink sizes and rules of play, are also available. Due to space limitations on the cartridge format, the two-man commentary team from the disc-based versions has been replaced with a single play-by-play announcer: broadcaster Bill Clement. A Controller Pak is required to save statistics, user records, line changes, and configuration options.

    One of the best Hockey games ever made!!!

    NHL 99 (N64) I know that we're heading into 2007 and with the PS3 and XBOX 360 now available the N64 is a thing of the past. There are a few games that still get my motor running that aren't available on the newer systems. NHL 99 is one of them. Hardcore hockey fans will know why. NHL 99 changed the hockey gaming world forever. It was the creator and innovator of all the features we see today. Not only that, but this game is a blast. Not in single player mode, but multiplayer. A Friend vs Friend game has never been more fun. The game is so simple to play that almost anybody can master it in less than an hour. Gather a group of friends together and pick a team. Then proceed to draft players (7 forwards, 3 defenseman, and 2 goalies) and make your teams. Turn off line changes and ...

    One of the best hockey games of all time

    This game is great! The teams are classic and the season mode is interesting. There are a good amount of moves and great hitting. It is easy to learn, and can be a challenge...Just flat out fun hockey.

    Good game if you aren't expecting too much

    Good: Relive old times with throwback rosters Bad: Slow, choppy gameplay. Bad graphics This is a classic case of playing an old system after playing the newer ones. The gameplay and graphics could never compare to the newer gaming systems, but if you go into the game ok with that, it is actually a good game. The controls aren't ver smooth, but it does offer a season mode complete with trades and free agents. I recommend this game if you are bored, looking for a little nostalga and can get the game for less then $5.
