    Legendary talent at legendary studio

    Obviously (I think), you'd have to be more than a casual Elvis fan to purchase this set of 3cds. Those who are dedicated will be rewarded with a couple hours of fun listening to the outtakes and unreleased tracks included. The remaining masters you've heard before and, unfortunately, are not among the King's best. If you happen to be searching for a place to get to know what the fuss was all about, this ain't it. If the title leads you believe you're going to hear "Hold On, I'm Coming" with Elvis backed by Booker T & the MGs, sorry(although I'd love to hear that). What you do get here is a crackerjack band behind a guy who was trying to recapture the magic of his early work. Ultimately, the shortcoming wasn't Elvis' effort, but the mediocrity of most of the material that was selected. ...
