About this product

Product Information

kill.switch is a third-person shooter that takes place amidst war-torn Middle Eastern cities, underground submarine bases, and more. Cast in the role of an elite commando, players must carefully take out enemy snipers and guards while seeking cover behind walls, barriers, or other objects found within the environment. While the character ducks behind an object or presses against a wall, players can perform a technique called blindfire, which involves spraying bullets toward the general direction of an enemy without directly aiming at a target. The benefit to this procedure is the character will avoid damage from counter fire, since he remains out of sight behind an obstacle while firing the weapon. Players must carefully plan their attacks in order to beat the overwhelming odds stacked against their success. Enemies will work together in teams to flush out players from their hiding spots and coordinate attacks, making each encounter a potentially deadly one. kill.switch's tour of duty is composed of six missions spanning 18 distinct levels.

  • Only worth about a dollar

The game is very short, and even players starting out on the hard difficulty setting should be able to breeze through kill.switch in six or seven hours. There aren't any unlockable features, multiplayer options, or other bonuses to keep you busy after that. The game's coolest feature, firing at enemies without peeking while your character is behind cover, labeled "blindfire", is so innacurate that it's practically useless. You can't help but get the feeling that kill.switch is only half a game. The mechanics for ducking and getting behind cover are the best feature of the game, but even that just doesn't feel very solid. Also, the game surrounding these mechanics is generic and short, at times feeling more like a demo than a finished retail product. It's really only worth a rental.

  • Thank you

I’ve tried buying these classic games and some people don’t deliver but when they do like this I just get hit by nostalgia. Love it

  • Killswitch

The only thing good about this game is that it does give you a challenge. The graphics arent great and you can find better games out there that have the same style game play. There are no save point so you will be spending alot of time getting past those long difficult levels. There aren't alot of weapons, you are basically stuck with whatever the enemies drop. You can probly get this game for a bargain now, I wouldnt spend more than $5 on it. I feel sorry for the people who spent $50 on this when it first came out, but if you are looking for a cheap thrill this game will challenge you into the wee hours of the night.
