I have only used this little kettle for a few days but so far is ideal for me, It is cordless lightweight and small, I rinsed it out several times before use, as per instructions and there is no aftertaste . I fill it to the minimum because I just have one mug of tea at a time. I can't comment on the long term quality but so far it is all that I want
