    Great book.

    I bought this book for a college class. I surprisingly loved it, which was very unexpected, since I am not religious at all. Confessions is a book about Augustine's amazing religious struggle. Even though Augustine was raised as a Catholic, he resisted believing in God late into his life. He could not break himself away from the physical pleasures of humans, nor could he see God in anything other than a bodily form. This book is a pleasure to read, because Augustine is a saint who is very concerned and involved with his emotions. The first 10 books are about his life, and the remaining books are his interpretation of one of the testaments from the Bible... I believe it was Genesis? If you're not really into religion but are looking for a good read, I would recommend reading only the first ...

    If you are looking to be bored, this book is for you!

    This was the longest, most redundant book I have ever read. It was a requirement for a medieval history class, otherwise I would not have bothered. Augustine repeats himself and struggles with his conversion to Christianity. Give me a reformed junkie any day.

More to explore:
