I needed the memory card for my phone because I kept getting notifications saying I had low storage space. This item did the job perfectly. It was easy to open and use. Just had to pop it into my phone. It took me a few minutes to understand what would be saved onto it, meaning which of my picture folders would automatically be saved onto it but after a few minutes of playing around, I figured it out. On insertion into the laptop, got message "You need to format the disk in drive D: before you can use it." Using the Windows formatting option, got message "Windows was unable to complete the formatting." Downloaded SD Card Formatter, which also failed to format the card. Last 5 entries in log file: [ERROR] Invalid end of sector signature: 0x0000 [ERROR] exfat_check_validate_boot_sector returned error: 22 (Invalid argument) [ERROR] Initializing cached values failed: 22 (Invalid argument) [ERROR] Generated invalid volume. exfat_volume_create returned: 22 (Invalid argument) chkdsk also returned an error message. Got fed up with wasting my time. Have had a large size PNY SD Card for several years without any problems. This micro version will be consigned to the bin!

Having tried various micro sd cards in my dashcams (I have 4) this is the only one that works as it should. Be wary of buying cheap branded makes because as I found some stop recording and some fail after a day or two.Maybe they are fakes but without the proper testing I can't be certain. This one works perfectly in a continuous loop so I can give it a five star rating.
