Worth reading if you're suffering
My partner died early in January. He was only 58. Healthy and active. The police wouldn't do a welfare check on him after I hadn't heard from him since Christmas day. I rang them multiple times. If they'd gone out when I first rang he would have been alive. The book is helping me with my anger, despair and the feeling that my world has collapsed. It will be a long grieving as we had been together for 25 years. It was so sudden, and I had to identify his body. I'm still traumatised. We were going to get married and had exchanged rings. It helps to know my feelings are valid and real. His family used to treat me as one of their own. Now they are shunning me. I'm feeling very alone.
