not beyond belief, but believable nonetheless
This is one of Petra's better albums with John S. at vox. There are some good rockers but there's also lots of 80s keys. This is a solid classic rock effort, through and through. Armed and Dangerous and Underground are rockers. I Am On The Rock is an anthem. Creed says it all. Love and Prayer are nice ballads. The title track, though overdone by the keyboards, is a mid-tempo classic and one of their more memorable songs. Some will find this album too preachy; it's much like a series of Bible studies put to music. But, the lyrics are straightforward without being trite, so you certainly know where they stand spiritually.This is one of Petra's better albums with John S. at vox. Good music, good lyrics
The sound is big late 80's classic rock (see the other reviews) which I really like. The boys from KANSAS who became christians are involved with the production and that shows through. What I am most impressed with is that the lyrics are practically Bible quotes. These words are powerful.
