About this product

Product Information

Reminiscent of Sega's House of the Dead series, Touch the Dead is a violent shooting game featuring zombies, mutants, and other ghastly creatures. Viewed from a first-person perspective, Touch the Dead involves tapping (or "touching") enemies with the stylus to attack them with your character's equipped weapon, ranging from a machine gun to a sickle. The action takes place in prisons, laboratories, and other atmospheric locales, with the game automatically moving through each horrific setting as players concentrate on firing, reloading, and changing weapons to safely clear each stage.

    Definitely needed in your library.

This is a good gem for your on the go zombie killing needs. The game is an on rails shooter that should ve unheard of on a small handheld console, and it is a little dated, but it's still a fun game.

  • Better Than Expected

The price was right so I grabbed up this title for some on-the-go shoot-em-up fun for the holiday season (it's spooky time, yo!!), not really expecting too much because how challenging can a game be where you tap directly on the character to shoot them? Well, I stand corrected. The developers really hit this one out of the park with their design of this game, because not only is it much more fun than I expected, due to their clever design - it's very challenging. In fact, I'm totally stuck right now because of the difficulty of my current challenge. Now here is where it gets some bad ratings. First the graphics are just so-so, but hey, it IS A DS!! Secondly, they make some levels too long before you can save a checkpoint which is why I'm stuck. First I went through this nearly impossible ...

  • Awesome Game!

Touch the Dead is a rail shooter. Players use the stylus to point at oncoming zombies on the bottom screen. Pointing fires the weapon Steiner has equipped. Shots can be delivered to the head, arms, legs, and stomach. To reload, players must simply grab a clip icon (located in the bottom right hand corner of the touch screen), and drag it to the bottom left hand corner which has an image of the 'magazine'. The D-pad and face buttons of the console are simply used to switch weapons. Both serve the same purpose, and work for both right-handed and left-handed players. Health and ammunition can be recovered by shooting crates and cabinets. The player also has the option of shooting switches to open doors and choose a left or right path when a fork appears. Either path chosen will still yield ...

  • I love it!

I bought Touch the Dead because I am a zombie game fanatic. I loved the way the game played through the touch screen portion of my DS Lite. The game itself is difficult, but not so hard you want to stop playing. If I had any complaints about this game it would just be the graphics. It's a great game and I would definitely recommend it to any zombie lover with a DS!

  • Good old Fashioned Zombie slaying fun!

What's not to like? Trapped in a prison filled with flesh eating zombies! Great action, interesting location, classic first person shooter. Graphics may seem a little dated, but there aren't many zombie battling games out there, so this one is a front runner for the genre.
