    Damn good book

    As part of the set this book is as always as good as all his other books. I have had to buy a number of each of his books as I tend to read and re-read the books. There's not many book sets you can say that about!

    Read only if you love the characters.

    it's a familiar journey into the world of Garion, now all grown up and working on an heir at the beginning. I don't know why, but the punch is gone, as is the quality of writing and use of English. The story is still there, just bungled. RIP David, but this was a disappointing echo of the masterpiece that was The Belgariad.
