'The Rape Of Nanking' by Iris Chang is one of the most shocking historical books I've ever read; what happened to the Chinese people in Nanking in WW2 is not widely known and is even denied altogether by the Japanese government (it is not discussed or documented in Japanese schools and school books) so this was a real eye-opener for me. It's a really important book, what happened to those people should never be forgotten in the hope that it will never happen again.

Very good and tells you some thing not known about in this part of the world. So many people killed in a very short time.

Not fantastically written, but still a compelling read about the atrocities that happened and some discussion as to why.

Great book, unfortunately no good ending, unbelievable what the human race can do to each other, a forgotten history, maybe because it's too far from here or maybe the world doesn't want to know.
